University of Miami is to solicit input from non-managerial employees responsible for direct patient care in the identification, selection and evaluation of Safer Medical Devices.
The following sample forms may be used in evaluating safer engineering controls. Note: these forms are only applicable to certain groups of devices. Safer engineering controls are not limited to the devices contained in the following pages. None of these forms are specifically required by the Bloodborne Pathogens Standard, but they may be useful as guidance documents.
